Story
The Industrious Women's Network is a holistic career readiness mentorship program designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. Through targeted mentorship, hands-on workshops, and access to professional networks, the program equips participants with these skills necessary to succeed in corporate environments.
An increasing number of statistics report that many graduates are not prepared to transition into difficult and competitive corporate environments. Cengage Group reports that only 30% of recent graduates secure roles directly related to their field of study. A critical issue is the limited access to experiential learning opportunities. Internships, mentorship, and hands-on projects are proven to improve workforce readiness, yet participation remains minimal. Without these experiences, graduates often struggle to navigate workplace dynamics, collaborate effectively in teams, and apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

In addition, employers continue to report deficiencies in essential professional skills, including communication, time management, adaptability, and professionalism. 58% of employers indicate that graduates lack proficiency in these critical workplace competencies (AACSB, 2025). For college women, these barriers can be even more pronounced.

After completion, participants not only have a polished resume and professional profile, but also demonstrate increased confidence, improved communication skills, and measurable readiness to enter and succeed in corporate environments.
