Be Anxious for Nothing

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

1 Peter 5:7

We are in the final stretches of spring semester! You have made it this far and the finish line is in sight. Oftentimes, the final stretches of any endeavor can feel stressful and require us to dig deep in order to persevere. We find ourselves in that “in between” time of closing out one academic year while also having to plan and gear up for the next one. The stress and pressures of this season can result in worries and anxiety that threaten to overwhelm us. However, even in the midst of the demands of school, family, and work, the Lord wants us to have a heavenly vision for our lives.

The Bible says to be anxious for nothing, but with prayer and supplication, let our requests be made known to the Lord (Philippians 4:6). When we feel stressed or overwhelmed, we must turn to the Lord with a sincere and thankful heart to seek His will and anchor our minds above. Each of us has a purpose and destiny that is so much bigger than our daily to do lists. The Lord has a heavenly plan and vision for every person that enters into the Kingdom of God through repentance and humility. When we seek the Kingdom of God first, everything else we need is added to us.

If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed during this season, give all your worries and cares to the Lord. Seek the kingdom and His righteousness, and the Lord will give you the wisdom and strength to navigate everything you need to accomplish in this life, while also setting your heart on being prepared for eternal life.

We thank the Lord for each of you! We are cheering you on to the finish line!
