Who is Ordering Your Steps?

Hey ladies! I hope this letter finds you well. Today I want to speak about the plans that many of us have made for ourselves. Early on in life we have so many people telling us we must have a plan, so we go into charting a course for our lives based on our desires. I can think back to what seems like ages ago when I was in elementary school. I was asked what I wanted to be in life, and I remember saying a marine biologist. Ha! Many of my fellow peers said doctors, lawyers, singers, etc. Now that I think back on my answer it makes me laugh, because my life and what I do now is very different from that. This has been the case for many of the plans that I created in my own heart. The Bible says in Proverbs 16:9, “A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them [Amplified].” I really could not understand this until I gave my life to the Lord in 2016. I often wondered why so many of the things that I had planned for my life never really worked or if they did I still felt a sense of longing for something more. This was because I wasn’t commiting my ways to the Lord so that He could establish and direct my paths. I never talked to Him and asked what He had planned for my life. Some of you may be thinking “the Lord has a plan for my life?”. Yes, He does. He created it from the very foundations of the Earth. Now that I have given my life to Him and commited my ways to Him, I often ask “Lord, what is your will for my life?”. I ask because I know that what He has planned is bigger and better than anything that I could ever imagine. His word even say, “God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all you could ever ask, imagine, or think, according to His power at work in you” (Ephesians 3:20). How amazing is this? I don’t have to think nor wonder about a plan. I just have to be directed and lead by Him and He will take care of the rest. So my counsel to you is think about the many plans that you have made for your life, those that have worked, those that didn’t, and those that are in queue. Now ask yourself if you consulted the Lord and received His plan. If you did, go you! If you didn’t, now is the time to ask Him! You definitely don’t want to get down the road in this long journey that life is and wish you never had of taken the path that you did. Well that is all I have for today. If you have question about this and plans that you have created, please reach out! We are here to chat. Cindi and Ashley :)

What a Great read! I can recall growing up and thinking about all the ”plans” I had for my life. Not realizing that God had His plan and purpose for me and it would be more fulfilling than any of my ideas! Thank you so much for sharing. You ladies are a true blessing 💕
