We All Have A Story, and Here is Mine!
When I look at these pictures, I see a young girl with no identity, low confidence, and naive to the traps in this world . One thing I remember distinctly growing up was that having a 'body' or a big butt was the only way guys would like you, and if you didn't have one, you better find a piece of one and work it the best you knew how. When you highlight and only focus on your physical countenance, it is always at the expense of your intellect. Therefore, I stopped being the smart, bright young lady God created me to be, but I wanted to become a sexy, fun girl that guys wanted to be with.
That left me empty!
As a sinner in the world, the devil can only give the opposite of God's attributes, so in looking for love, I got hate. In place of appreciation, I got depreciated.
I did not know that the emptiness that I was trying to fill in my heart was a God-sized hole. You can try to get everything externally to fill that hole (ie. clothes, guys, good times, etc), but it will never be enough. You will only be left defiled, ashamed, and depressed.
That is why God called Ashley and I bring forth The Industrious Women's Network!
We have primarily focused on career and professional development, but in seeking Him, we realized that He has more in stored for IWN!
God is the restorer of the breach! He heals the broken heart! He gives sight to the blind!
He restores our souls and makes us whole!
In the revamp of The Industrious Women's Network, we are going to discuss and learn about every facet of what makes us women. God has called for you ladies to be industrious, virtuous women in every way (personally, professionally, spiritually, etc)!
So join us this year as we embark on the journey of restoring our identities in Christ focusing on every aspect of what makes us women: spirit, soul, and body!
You don't want to miss it!
